Sand between your Paws

With 19 miles of coastline and 16 sandy beaches and bays, there is plenty of choice of beach to feel the sand between your paws, jump the waves or have a little paddle before that all important shake off (stand back owner!). Check out Birdwise East Kent’s guide to be a Savvy Sea Dog around our beaches.

Whilst between 1st May and 30th September there are limitations on access to the beaches, there are still plenty to explore, being aware of beach goers.

Don’t forget to grab that perfect instagram picture!

Going Exploring

Put your best paw forward as you head out on an adventure with your two-legged friend. Join a guided tour hearing about the isles past (you may see a costumed character) or find your sea legs on a boat trip out of the only Royal harbour.

Feeling thirsty or peckish - there may just be a water bowl or some treats available for you!.

Paws and Plates

Whether it’s a refreshing drink after a long walk, a general catch-up over coffee and cake or a hearty meal to stop those rumbling tummies, there are a variety of dog-friendly cafes, bars and restaurants.

It's not just treats for the humans with a number even having doggie ice-cream available.

Good Night's Sleep

We are all after that perfect night's sleep after a day of exploring and our four-legged friends are just the same.

Whether it be a historic seafront hotel, a traditional B&B, or rural holiday park, we have a number of providers that can cater for man’s best friend.

Be sure to contact the provider before booking to check if a supplement applies and facilities available.
