Creative Coast Margate Art Broadstairs Art Experiences 48 Hours
Ramsgate may be known for having the only Royal Harbour in the country and its connections with the 19th Century architect Augustus Pugin, but did you know that artist Vincent van Gogh taught in the town.
Discover a wealth of art galleries showcasing local and regional work, spot public art - colourful steps, or try your hand at your own creation taking inspiration from the surroundings.
There are many Blue Plaques dotted around marking the many famous faces associated with the town. From James J.J Tissot, the French artists who stayed in the town in 1876 and created ink drawings overlooking the harbour, Edward Linley Sambourne - the Illustrator of the Water Babies, cartoonist for Punch and Victorian Photographer to Vincent van Gogh.
