Monthly Cliftonville Farmers’ Markets, running for over 20 years combines locally grown, cooked, and produced foodstuffs and items set against a coastal backdrop.

If seafood is to your taste, Mannings Seafood (Margate) and Cannon's Fish Stall (Ramsgate) are worth a visit for oysters, cockles, mussels, or jellied eels to enjoy while taking a stroll around the harbours.

No trip to the seaside - whatever the weather - is complete without an ice cream... choose from the traditional made on-site (like at the world famous 1950s Morelli's) or the many modern varieties at Ramsay and Williams, while browsing their antiques and vintage items. Look out for brightly coloured outlets offering real fruit ice cream and sundaes.

Margate's Windmill Community Gardens, open since 2004, has a ‘Market Garden’ running a weekly vegetable-bag scheme and supplying local restaurants. 

With a high concentration of Micro Pubs, why not sample some of East Kent’s best local ales and ciders from our very own Breweries? Ramsgate Brewery  Gadds', established in 2002, sells fresh local ales in casks and bottles (some with a seaside-themed name) that you can pick up from the Shop and sample in the Taproom. Margate’s NorthDown Brewery launched in 2018, showcasing the transformation of fine Kentish hops into an irresistible array of ciders, perries, bitters and ales. Try for yourself in their Taproom!
