TMW (Tai Chi Movements for Wellbeing) with Lesley Richardson at Monkton Nature Reserve
11am - 12:30pm
Experience the peace of Forest Bathing in the delightful setting of Monkton Nature Reserve. The term emerged in Japan shinrin-yoku, ‘forest bathing’ or taking in the forest atmosphere. The purpose of the exercise was to provide a solution to the ‘tech-boom’ burnout and to inspire people to reconnect with, and protect the country’s forests. Forest bathing can be as simple as walking in any natural environment and consciously connecting with what’s around you. Please meet at Reception upon arrival.
This session will be led by Monkton Nature Reserve’s volunteer, Vicki, who has studied the art of Forest Bathing. Time will be spent on the reserve and attendees will be able to take part in a tea ceremony at the end of the session. Following April’s Forest Bathing session, one attendee fed back that it was simply ‘wonderful’ and ‘relaxing’. Why not give it a go?
The price includes full access to the reserve on the day for attendees and their family.
