St George’s Spring Parade

The third annual parade, bringing another spectacular community parade and celebration to Ramsgate

Parade at 12 noon (church service at 11am, and community lunch at 1.30pm)

St George’s Church is working in partnership with Great British Carnival again... with the parade taking place on the pedestrianised part of the High Street and ending with a community lunch in the hall for everyone.

There will also be free costume making workshops every Wednesday throughout February, March and April at St George’s Church Hall, Broad Street, Ramsgate - all ages are welcome.

“St George’s Day is celebrated throughout Europe as well as in Brazil and St George is the patron Saint of Samba, so Ramsgate’s very own Bloco ‘Samba Ya Wantsum’ will once again be providing the beat to move your feet. This event will be a real celebration of Spring, so expect dragons, knights, Jack and Jill in the Green, samba beats and lots of fun.” Teresa Askew of Great British Carnival
