Join Nick Oram for a fascinating insight into what it took to be a Spitfire Pilot with the chance to see a lot of interviews and archive footage at the Spitfire and Hurricane Memorial Museum in Manston
2pm - 4pm
This talk incorporates interviews with wartime Spitfire Pilots who are the subject of Nicks two books along with many period photos.
The pilots tell of their experiences of daily combat and survival in their beloved Spitfires across several theatres of the war. Audiences are left amazed at the selfless courage of these incredible pilots.
Unusually, Nick's Power Point presentation includes first hand TV interviews and accounts from the pilots themselves who captivate audiences with their tales of combat missions and a daily fight for survival.
This is not a technical talk - these are human stories of incredible courage combined with the modesty and good humour typical of veterans.
