And A Granny Would Dance:
Marmar listens to the stories told by her grandmother’s friends as they play an illicit game of cards. Based on childhood memories and shared stories, this is a tale of love, grief and resilience. At it's heart, it is a tribute to the solidarity of Iranian women.
And Then She:
The dance premiered live at the Gulbenkian, Canterbury at the This Girl Can Festival on 7th March 2020. The film is an adaptation of the original piece for Zoom, on the theme of 'what we would say to our younger selves'. Filmed during lockdown on Zoom in 2020 and at Stone Bay Broadstairs 2022
Remnants:
This explores the seven-year cycle of cell regeneration and its link to intimate encounters. Through movement, colour and sound, it visually depicts two bodies navigating power dynamics in relationships. Inspired by the idea that our bodies renew completely, it reflects on transformation, memory, and the passage of time.
A Room of Our Own:
A Room of Our Own is a show by Jude Adams, created in 2023, blending music, narration, and dance to explore life in the closet, liberation, and self-acceptance. Set in the 1980s, it offers a personal LGBTQ+ social history.
Swan Lake Bath Ballet:
Filmed entirely remotely during COVID lockdown, SWAN LAKE BATH BALLET features 27 elite ballet dancers from around the world, performing director/choreographer Corey Baker’s new take on the ballet classic in their filled bathtubs.
Reverie:
A place to be, to muse and to search, without condition or expectation. Understanding what the surface of the skin really feels like and what may perhaps be beneath. She takes it all in and realises, all that is wild is connected...
I Margate Mambo:
Community dance participation film celebrating dance in Margate, it stars 8 local groups including the RNLI, Quarterdeck young people, local dance groups and special guest performers. In total, 128 local people between the ages of 10 to 89 years old participated - and said they all want to do it again.
