A printmaking exhibition celebrating Peter Firmin at Lovelys Gallery in Cliftonville, Margate

Open Monday to Saturday... 9am - 5pm

Peter Firmin (1928-2018), co-creator of Bagpuss & The Clangers (to name a few of the iconic children's programs he created), was also prolific printmaker and craftsman. Peter's linocuts, made using an ancient Albion press, are incredibly detailed, as well charming & nostalgic.

This enchanting and festive selection of Peter's original linocuts will be on sale in Lovely's Annex gallery until Saturday 4th January.

Peter's daughter, the artist Emily Firmin, will be at the gallery on Saturday 23rd November from 2pm-4pm to discuss the life and work of her father, as well as all things Bagpuss!
