Join this beach clean to help stop harmful litter from reaching the ocean and collect vital data that the Marine Conservation Society can use to bring about positive change for our seas
Starts at 2pm
Meet: On the beach - just below the former hoverport access road Cliffsend, near Ramsgate, Kent CT12 5HY. * Access is via a footpath from the Viking Ship 'Hugin' Picnic Site in Cliffsend on the Sandwich Road (and is NOT from the country park, which is down the road!)
The event lasts for 2 hours and is open to all to join in.
Children have to be supervised by a responsible adult.
Litter sticks, hoops, and bags are provided. Please bring along garden gloves and wear appropriate clothing for weather on the day (windproof/rainproofs if windy &/or raining) & tough footwear for walking on the beach.
Please also bring along your own water bottle, or refreshment, to quench your thirst!
Note: unfortunately the nearby picnic site cafe & toilets are closed during the winter months.
The Thanet Coast Project runs this event jointly with the Kent Wildlife Trust. Bird Wise East Kent may be present too so that you can ask your questions about the bird life of this National Nature Reserve.
