Creative Fun Outdoors
Tuesday 8th at 11am and Thursday 17th at 1pm- Big Bug Hunt
The hunt is on! What will you find? Beetles? Ladybirds? Butterflies? Join us in the Education Garden, bug pots and ID sheets in hand, as we explore the depths of minibeast habitats.
Tuesday 8th at 1pm and Thursday 17th at 11am - Green and Clean
Green energy in action. Budding builder? Here’s a challenge. Build a simple circuit to light a bulb with the sun and wind. Run a clock using potatoes.
Thursday 10th at 11am (SOLD OUT) and Friday 18th at 1pm- Green Fingers
A hands-on session making wildflower seed bombs and a living hand print using grass seed.
Thursday 10th at 1pm and Tuesday 15th at 11am- Eggs-ploration
DIY ‘egg’ stress balls from balloons and rice. Find the animal egg photos on the reserve and eggs-pect a small reward.
Friday 11th at 11am and Tuesday 15th at 1pm - Magical Plants and Mandrake Makers
Discover the powers of the mandrake plants, then make your own mandrake (as seen in the Harry Potter films)
Friday 11th at 1pm and Friday 18th at 11am - Alder Cone Bee Mobiles
Alder trees can live for 60 years. We have them on the reserve. Young twigs are sticky to touch. Its small brown cones are the female catkins and stay on the tree all year round.
Thursday 17th at 11.30am - Wild Classroom
The welcome return of this popular, open fire cooking experience. A chance to cook a tasty rhubarb and custard crumble outdoors, over fire. - SOLD OUT
