Forest Bathing and Tea Ceremony

11am - 12.30pm

The term ‘forest bathing’ emerged in Japan from shinrin-yoku, meaning to take in the forest atmosphere.

The purpose of the exercise is to provide a solution to the ‘tech-boom’ burnout and to inspire people to reconnect with, and protect the country’s forests. Forest bathing can be as simple as walking in any natural environment and consciously connecting with what’s around you.

This session will be led by Monkton Nature Reserve’s volunteer, Vicki, who has studied the art of Forest Bathing. Time will be spent on the reserve and attendees can take part in a tea ceremony at the end of the session. Following previous Forest Bathing sessions, several attendees fed back that it was simply ‘wonderful’ and ‘relaxing’. Why not give it a go?

The price includes full access to the reserve on the day for attendees and their family.

Please meet at Reception 10 minutes before the event starts.
