The legendary R&B Soul band celebrate 23 years with the 40th anniversary of the iconic album ‘Change Of Heart’ at Olby's Soul Cafe

Born in the disco fires of 1979 Italy, Change wasn’t your typical American soul band. Masterminded by Italian businessman Jacques Fred Petrus, Change was a studio project that brought together the songwriting and production talents of Mauro Malavasi and Davide Romani with a revolving door of American vocalists. Think of them as the ultimate disco-soul all-stars!

Despite their European roots, Change drew heavily on American influences, particularly the legendary Chic. They laid down dancefloor-ready instrumentals in Italian studios, then brought in powerhouse American singers like Luther Vandross and Jocelyn Brown to weave their magic. This unique blend resulted in hits like “The Glow of Love” and “Searching,” making Change a global sensation that blurred geographical lines and brought soulful grooves to the world.
