*One of 50 best cinemas in the UK and Ireland' (Time Out, 2021) and Nominated for 'Cinema of the Year' at the Big Screen Awards (2023)*
The Palace is a cosy independent cinema in a lovely Listed building, showing the very latest independent releases from around the world.
The Palace may look tiny from the outside, but step into the foyer to find fresh coffee, popcorn, sweets and our small licensed bar before taking your seat in the lovely auditorium; there are 111 seats in all, spread between a magical balcony and the gorgeous stalls below.
The auditorium's large screen stretches almost the width of the building, with perfect views from any seat. The building may be well over a hundred years old but the films are shown using the very latest digital projection and fantastic surround sound.
Please see their website for current and future programme... and to check film times.
