We are in a great central location. A few minutes from Margate’s old town with it's array of vintage retailers, galleries and of course the Turner Contemporary. A couple of minutes further brings you to Margate’s golden, sandy beaches and the sea.
A short stroll in the other direction is Cliftonville’s resurgent Northdown Road with its ever growing selection of independent traders selling delicious vegan/ vegetarian food, freshly ground coffee and vinyl. We are also a few minutes walk to the Carl Freedman Gallery, Tracey Emin’s new studio and the newly opened Margate Caves.
At the heart of the building in the main gallery space that can be hired for a variety of artistic and cultural endeavours. There is also the smaller shop gallery. The building is also home to various creative studios including tailors, artists, and an upholsterer.
Joseph Wales is the name of one of the buildings former tenants from the victorian era. In the mid 1800’s it was home to a boat builder and was also once a seaside rock factory!
